1. Safety instructions

  • The RockDock bike stand is designed for durable bike storage indoors and outdoors. Follow the guidelines below for safe use and optimal durability:
  • Before each use, check the RockDock for wear, cracks, or loose parts.
  • Always use the correct tools and follow the official RockDock installation manual step by step.
  • Mount only on a stable, load-bearing surface (wall/partition, wooden post 70×70 mm, minimum 900 mm high not included).
  • Mounting height: 18 cm from the ground to the bottom of the product (see template on the inside of the shipping box).
  • Use the product only for its intended purpose: storing mountain bikes, racing bikes, and gravel bikes with a maximum weight of 28 kg. Maximum left/right lateral load: 28 kg.
  • After installation, check that the RockDock does not move or tilt under load (max. 28 kg). Check monthly that the Torx screws are securely tightened and the pivot point moves freely.
  • To prevent fingers from being pinched when folding or lowering the arm, use the finger recesses on the top.
  • Do not let children play with the stand, It's not a children's playground!!
  • For use only on mountain bikes, road bikes or gravel bikes without rear fenders with at least 27.5” to 29” wheels and a tire width of 25–66 mm
  • Do not use in stormy weather, during frost or on unstable surfaces.

2. Safety risks in case of incorrect use

  • Please note: Incorrect installation (failure to follow the installation instructions) of the RockDock bicycle storage system can lead to:
  • Risk of falling or instability of the bicycle.
  • Risk of entrapment, especially when children are playing.
  • Damage to bicycle frame, rims or paint if installed incorrectly.
  • Instability when mounting on an uneven or insufficiently load-bearing wall or pole.

3. Recommended use & maintenance

  • Clean the RockDock bicycle stand regularly with clean tap water.
  • Avoid aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Keep pivot points clean and free of sand or dust.
  • Protect from prolonged exposure above 45°C or extreme freezing.
  • Lubricate hinge points periodically with silicone spray.

4. Waste processing/Recycling

  • RockDock contains no hazardous substances.
  • Suitable for recycling as mixed plastic.
  • Grip bag: compostable.
  • Shipping packaging: 100% recyclable,
  • Packaging complies with EU directive 94/62/EC 

5. Warranty & Liability

  • 2-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects after purchase.
  • Only valid with correct installation and use in accordance with the installation instructions.
  • Exclusions: damage due to incorrect installation, use or insufficient maintenance.
  • Liability: RockDock BV is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse or modification of the product.

6.Key on/Norm reference

  • European CE directives.
  • DIN 79008 / NEN 8776: not applicable.

1. Declaration of conformity Product safety

The manufacturer declares that the RockDock bicycle stand meets:

  • Regulation (EU) 2023/988 - General Product Safety
  • Directive 85/374/EEC - Product liability
  • Directive 2001/95/EC - Product safety
  • National consumer protection legislation within the EU

Reviewed on:

  • Stability and load capacity (up to 28 kg).
  • Safe use when assembled correctly.
  • No risk of entrapment or tipping in normal use.

2. Conditions of use and assembly

Valid if:

  • Fitted according to the official assembly instructions.
  • Fixed on stable surface.
  • Not adjusted or changed.
  • Regular maintenance.

Uses outside these conditions outside the responsibility of RockDock BV.

3. Warranty and liability

  • After purchase, 2-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects.
  • Warranty is void in case of incorrect assembly or modification to the product.
  • RockDock is not liable for consequential damage, injury or damage due to improper use and or assembly.

4. Safety monitoring and Duty to Report

RockDock has an internal monitoring system for:

  • Complaints and incidents registration.
  • Safety analysis and notification to NVWA (EU Art. 20 GPSR).
  • Recalls if necessary.

Users should report incidents immediately at support@rockdock.bike.


5. Final provision

This statement forms an integral part of the RockDock Safety Data Sheet version 1.1 (document code RD-VIB-1.1) the General Terms and Conditions and the Installation Instructions. Together, these documents constitute the complete product safety documentation in accordance with the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988.
